If I were trying to increase 500 mb to 4 gig I'd do it this way. I'd use Norton Ghost(2001) to copy the 500mb partition to a suitable formatted cf chip. I'd then use fdisk to remove the old partitions and fdisk to make a new 4gig partition. Remember to make the partition active and to then run fdisk/mbr to get a fresh mbr then format the drive. Then I'd use Ghost to copy the cf chip back to the harddrive or just buy a cf adapter and run the cf chip instead of the harddrive.
