I think a lot of Yahoo! accounts got hacked recently. Dunno more beyond that, sorry. I got actual spam from two real friends / people / correspondents within 24 hours a few weeks ago, so I immediately contacted both of them to warn them. Sad, really, that we live in such a cruel world. I suggest changing your password (if not already) and/or creating another email account with a different provider (e.g. Gmail).
