We used to link to this in the FreeDOS software list, long ago. As a desktop, 
Desktop2 was okay. It didn't support any advanced features, so it was just a 
nice looking menu editor, file manager, CD player, text editor. 

I removed it (and most other GUIs) because too much attention was going into 
making an awesome GUI for FreeDOS, and no effort into making FreeDOS better.And 
everyone and their dog was submitting their own DOS GUI at the time, which was 
outside our scope anyway. So it was better to trim the GUI section in the 
software list. Even now, we only list GEM in the list, and that hasn't been 
updated in a long time.
