I've been playing with Balder 1.0 and customized it to my likings, no
problem. However then I decided to clean up a bit and move all files
but command.com, fdconfig.sys and autoexec.bat to a subdirectory name
fdos (A:\fdos) and edit fdconfig.sys to include A:\fdos\ in front of
all drivers/programs.

But now it won't boot anymore. It manages to write
FreeDOS_
and then it hangs. If I move the files back to the root and undo the
editing, it works again. All manipulations are done in Ubuntu, testing
in qemu, virtualbox and as iso files on physical hard (I don't own a
floppy drive).

I'm puzzled!
