Me too. I haven't defragmented hard drives for many months now,
because:

(1) DEFRAG 1.3.2 does not seem to work at all in my computers.

(2) The previous version of DEFRAG crashed, with loss of files, when
there was something wrong in the hard drive which DOSFSCK had not been
able to fix.

And speaking of disk checking, I haven't had much luck with DOSFSCK
either, and still less with CHKDSK. Both crashed with loss of files in
different occasions. As a result I'm now wary of using either, and
when I occasionally do run DOSFSCK I get apprehensive.

All my hard drives are FAT16. I haven't tried FAT32 yet because the
checking and defragmentation tools do not seem reliable enough. Please
correct me if I am wrong in this.

These tools are very important parts of FreeDOS for those of us who
use it every day for work. Improvements will be very welcome.

Regards and thanks,
