We have discussed this frequently :-) 100% compatiblity with MS-DOS is the goal of FreeDOS 1.x. But later, with 2.x+, there can be other goals. Many tools of FreeDOS's distro are better than MS-DOS's and even better than the tools of Dr-DOS. I don't think that it could be an alternative to windows/linux in all parts, but in some (I am using): yes. Mpxplay and QV are examples. I don't think, that FreeDOS needs a big goal, but my opinion is, that the focus of versions of FreeDOS > 1.x should be to add as many featues, with may be exists even now, as possible. I am afraid that the goal will be "an OS for emulators/virtualizers". But it should be more :-) Bye Flo :-) > > Do you consider big enhancements on the website? > > Or do you want just to continue all like the current state? > > Interesting questions to answer. > > I am asking this because of a upcoming project called nevasca.
