HI there Note: that fundamentally I am a harware guy so if this skew wiff in some way do advise.
This thing is going to have to be structured as follows: Memory spaces: D Disk space -> holds the (sparse?) virtual address space image on disk. V Virtual space -> holds the address space storage in core being manipulated on. L Logical space -> what the 64b cpu refers to. P Physical space -> Actual ram installed. I assume that address registers are either 48b or 64b long, data registers are 8b,16b,32b,64b and that there is probally a bit to control the size of extended registers like in in 386. Handling 64b data would be nice, but 64b address's?. The 32b dos extender I wrote only supports L & P spaces. What real need is there for this?. Have pentium 64b 586 2GB ram to develope software on. richard fryer widget works bye ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
