Hi Stegozor,

wasnt there some gmane interface or something which would
make the newsgroup available on www? Or maybe you could
just forward the questions to the list or to me? Thanks!

The diskette distro still has no news, which you could say
to be my fault. I just made SOME distro once, but never
got around in improving it. The old distro is here:
   http://www.coli.uni-saarland.de/~eric/threediskettes-freedos10.zip
to update it, you get the new first diskette there:
   http://www.bootablecd.de/test/ (see also www.bootablecd.de/freedos/ )
and in a third step you can merge the 8086 first disk from Joris:
   http://www.xs4all.nl/~rjoris/freedos.html

It would be very nice if somebody could throw those 3 distros
together to create a 3 diskette distro with all updates, with
a first diskette which has a 8086 compatible boot menu item
and mostly 8086 compatible apps, and optimally even be around
when packages are updated over time, to keep the distro updated.
Volunteers get, at their choice, a big hug or a big pizza from
me the next time when they are in the area :-). Oh and I could
add a nice 133 MHz PC, perfect for DOS experiments, to the bai...
uhm... to the bounty ;-).
