Because I really hate throwing away old stuff (which is why my basement
looks the way it does) and because the entire FreeDOS archive at ibiblio
is "only" 4.6GB (not very big) I decided _not_ to delete the old
distros. However, I did clean up the 'distributions' directory:
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/

This now has the following subdirectories:
> 1.0-Testing
> 1.0
> official.old
> tools
> unofficial

You can/should guess by the 'unofficial' and 'official.old' that I'll
create an 'official' directory when we make our next official FreeDOS
release, and move "1.0" and "1.0-Testing" (and "2.0") under there.
Until then, I didn't want to break links that people may have. I
thought having an 'official' and 'unofficial' would make it more clear
as to which was officially released by FreeDOS, and which were
FreeDOS-based distros that we were mirroring for someone else.

Summary of cleanup under 'official.old':
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/official.old/

All of the Alpha and Beta versions were moved here, and renamed the
directories with a version number indicative of its release status, with
"ALPHA" or "BETA" tacked on the end to make it very clear. For example:
"beta7" was renamed "0.7.BETA". Also, "ripcord" got moved under
"official.old", since it was an official offshoot of Beta7. Thinking
about renaming "ripcord" to "0.7-ripcord" or something, to relate it to
Beta7.

A little further cleanup under 'unofficial':
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/unofficial/

Basically, stuff from 'old' got moved here with a ".old" extension.
ODIN got its own directory. Stuff from "1disk" got moved here with a
".1" extension.
