Mark, It is my understanding that, as a matter of course, *users* with a 386 or better processor should indeed go to http://fdos.org/kernel/ but ignore the offerings on that page and click Directory Listing. From there, English users like me would download Kernel.sys and cmdxms.HEAD.zip for FreeCOM. (And a copy of Sys.com if you don't already have it.)
