Thats what I was missing a boot disk which did not immediately jump into installation. That opens more possibilities than just a knoppix boot disk. There are times I need a DOS disk to handle DOS problems. SUGGESTION: Have two versions of FreeDOS CD from now on a boot disk and an install disk.
