laptops sometimes don't use full screens, or the computer's monitor
might not be set up for using the full screen at a certain screen
resolution.
The monitor should have buttons to adjust this, so your screen will be
fullscreen then.
for example, 1024*768 is fullscreen for me now, but 800*600 has black
edges left and right, until I re-arrange my monitor to make it fill the
entire screen.
