Hi,
Anyone know of a diag util that can check SMART status of SCSI drives?
The ones I've tried so far seem less than ideal
1. Windows Event Log, "The disk has predicted it will fail"
2. SMART Defender (Hitachi), "An unknown SMART threshold has been exceeded"
3. Drive Fitness Test (Hitachi). Only seems to offer SMART for ATA
drives, all other tests pass including full LBA block read.
4. Seagate Seatools (DOS), boots to it's own version of DR-DOS, but
crashes on my system - tried two different versions which crash in
different ways - total lockup and screen corruption.
5. Seagate Seatools (Win), 'SMART Status' says "A SMART threshold has
been exceeded", but 'Quick Test' says "The driver for this drive doesn't
support SMART".
6. AIDA32 refuses the SMART option for non ATA drives.
There must be better alternatives!
