Good day, all:

I was trying to do something clever to replace my C program
findtdsk. All findtdsk is look at disk volume labels and return an
ERRORLEVEL if it finds a match. findtdsk is crashing an HP
computer and I don't feel like trying to debug it long distance.

In the MS-DOS world, this can be done with a batch script
doing things like:

VOL A: | find /c "MS_RAMDRIVE" | choice /c:01 /n

Te FreeDOS VOL command seems to treat everything after VOL
as the first argument. This gives a syntax error.

So does

VOL A: > temp.dat

Is there any way around this? Is this a bug in VOL?

Thanks for the wonderful support.

Mark Bailey
