Mac OS X's shared folders work just like Linux: it uses SMB [samba]. } You might try to download a bootdisk from } http://www.veder.com/nwdsk/index.html } and see if it properly enables you to access the Mac mini. Well, all of our Windows and Linux boxes can access the Mac mini via SMB already. And I can access Windows and Linux boxes via SMB just fine too. The problem is that FreeDOS, inside VPC 7.01 doesn't seem to want to access SMB shares using the VPC fshare.exe utility. Nor will fshare.exe allow me to access local Mac-shared folders, though it works when running Windows 2000 inside VPC [though it gives me the same errors when running PC DOS 2000 as it does when I run FreeDOS - those darn ???'ed files!]. I've talked with one of the Virtual Computing engineers at Microsoft and he's told me that fshare does work in FreeDOS [which is why i gave up trying it in PC DOS 2000], so I am hoping someone on this list has done this before and can clue me into what I am missing. :) /vjl/ -- Vince J.
