I'm trying to update the feature on the web site that lets you view old news items that may have dropped off the bottom of the page. I'd like your feedback on this.

The old way: click the ">>More News" link. This lets you see the previous 10 news items on the page. Note that you can only go back through the news items in the /freedos/news/html directory - really old news items are archived in /freedos/news/html.archive (this prevents too many news items in the primary news dir from making the news sorting on /index.php too slow.)

The new way: click the "News archive" link. This presents a sorted list of the news items in /freedos/news/html ... the "(2)" link is a sorted list of the items in the /freedos/news/html.archive directory.

I find the new way easier to find an old news item that may have dropped off the front page. For example: if you want to look up an old news item to give a link to someone else. The sorted list shows the news item title, and the date it was posted.

If no one has a good reason to keep the old ">>More News" link, I'll disable it and just leave the new "News archive (2)" links in its place.
