Hi Eric,

there are at least half a dozen of bug reports referring to edit. Simply search for them at sourceforge (tickets 2, 96, 112, 120, 214, 264, 350, 366)

but also on Gitlab.

One more bug that I found while testing hebrew and arabian codepages and keyboards was that the frames around each

edit window (including messages etc.) changed to paragraphs (§) etc.

 

So one of my proposals is either to fix edit or to replace it by a good working one, e.g. msedit (Mateusz saucy editor).

tells that EDIT hangs after pressing ESC in a submenu:
