You got it wrong and backward. Fredom Box is *not* aimed specificly for x86. That is why the development is done on hardware that are not x86 based, but you are welcome to run it on x86 specific hardware. This is because if the development are done on x86 specific hardware, it is to easy to add x86 specific sollutions which doesn't work or scale to other architectures.
