Hi, www.linuxtech.net published an interesting article about the Intel DN2800MT CedarView Atom mini-ITX board. The article has detailed measurements of the power consumption.
http://www.linuxtech.net/reviews/intel_DN2800MT_cedarview_atom_power_draw.html Quick specs: Idle power consumption ~11 Watt Fanless operation possible Single 8-19 V DC power connector (can be powered by a "laptop brick") 1.86GHz Intel Atom N2800 processor. 2 cores -> 4 threads up to 4GB 1066/800 MHz memory NM10 Express Chipset VGA and HDMI video connectors, eDP/LVDS connector (up to 24-bpp) The processor has an integrated PowerVR SGX 545 GPU for which there is no free driver. Accelerated graphics on GNU/Linux is not possible. If you want to use the board for a HTPC you have use Windows and run the FB software inside a virtual machine. This board consumes twice the power of a typical Marvell 6281 1.2GHz ARM system like the DreamPlug. From my own measurements on an Atom 330 i estimate that it has about 7 times more performance. Another article compares Pineview Atom motherboards. This article has an interesting TDP comparison section (on the right, far below). http://www.linuxtech.net/features/intel_atom_pineview_motherboards_overview.html Rob. http://freedomboxblog.nl _______________________________________________ Freedombox-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/freedombox-discuss
