Attempting manual instsll says: This application is currently not available in your distribution. So it appears that janus is no longer available. I hope this is a temporary situation, as I use it regularly. On my production FreedomBox it works just fine, but this would probably cause major problems if I had to restore it.
In the upcoming release (in 2 weeks) of FreedomBox we have changed status of Janus from not being installable to installing from Debian unstable (with a warning). During the release process of Trixie, Janus was removed from testing due to a minor failure to build. So it didn't make it into Debian Trixie. Since Janus has been stable for quite some time now, we decided to install it from unstable instead of keeping it unavailable.
> As it stands now, I cannot complete the restore.During restoration, you can uncheck Janus from the list of apps to restore. That way, you can restore data for rest of the apps. When Janus is available again in a couple of weeks, you can restore the backup again this time with only Janus selected (or just freshly install Janus).
Furthermore, the internel-to-external zone firewall sules seem not to be working. I can not ssh out. Firewall-cmd shows the permanent policy, but nothing goes through. Could this be a result of an incomplete restore? Now to debug this?
Are you able SSH out from the FreedomBox machine? This is unlikely due to incomplete restore. We don't backup firewall rules and restore them on the new machine. Instead we set them up freshly always.
