Follow-up Comment #7:
Dropping 2.5.x target. As current server does not support escaping, getting
optimal result for all strings and server/client combinations would be too
much work.
Targeting 2.6.0-beta1 since there's no older S2_6 release with which
less-than-optimal compatibility would be an issue.
