Details:
Would it be practical for configure to spot that it's being run from an svn
(or git) checkout (from the presence of a .svn or .git directory perhaps, or
promising output from an svn command), and automatically --enable-svnrev?
I think that would increase the quality of bug reports from svn users, by
getting svnrev information into their savefiles without them having to do
anything special.
