Details:
Ancient, long obsolete files stamp-h.in and config.mac.h in root directory are
only confusing people. Let's remove them.
config.mac.h was used when compiling old Macs without autotools. Neither old
Macs or build without autotools have been supported in a long time.
AFAIK stamp-h.in was needed by autotools in the 90's. It has been added under
version control with message "Put stamp-h.in in cvs again" November -98. Even
if it was a bit early to remove it back then, I'm ready to try again.
