Details:
This patch makes unit list iterations mutex protected. I just got this to
compile (gtk3-client) for the very first time. Other clients are not yet
updated, and in general this requires a lot of work. Thus I'm developing this
in on top of *a lot* of my other patches as they are certainly going in before
this one, and I don't want to update this to apply cleanly after each and
every commit.
