Details:
I have been allocating arrays where specenum value is used as index, and I
need to know size of the array needed. As far as I can see, specenum module
does not provide that directly at the moment, but one has to use _max() + 1
(since space for index 0 is needed as well). Maybe specenum should provide
this directly.
