Closing this ticket, but maybe we should have another for similar cleanup of
gtk2-client - as much as there can be done without increasing minimum gtk
version requirement from 2.12 (gtk2-client remains only to support legacy
systems, it would make no sense to have high minimum requirement for it
because users with modern systems can use gtk3-client) This patch applies
almost cleanly to gtk2-client, but requires latest gtk2.
