Working patch in 3 steps
file 1: preparation; add an option to gui_dialog_new() to fix special
settings
file 2: main changes; or which option(s) should this layout be activated? at
the moment there is a simple TRUE statement; if FALSE is inserted the old
behaviour is restored
file 3: redo the layout (see screenshoot); opinions?
I will split it into different tickets if needed.
A gtk3 version can easily be created.
