Details:
Subject is somewhat guesswork. I now for certain only that gtk3-client does
not compile. From the actual bug I assume that building also gtk2-client, and
thus having sensible value also to GUI_gtk2_CFLAGS, would work as workaround.
I'm going to commit attached fix immediately.
