Thanks!  We ended up going with a slightly more conservative patch than the one
I provided above (defaulting to 4k buffers rather than switching, since we
weren't sure if we could switch fast enough) but your statistics are useful
(and confirm the decision to go with the more conservative option -- you have
1640 failed 9k allocations which will have added some network latency during
busy periods).

I suggest waiting until we get the Errata Notice out and then switching over to
the patch we send out with that.
