I can only add that I see the same problem, with 7.0-PRERELEASE on a
i386/SMP running SCHED_4BSD. However, for me the problem seems to
manifest itself if I have installed graphics/gnash's flash web-browser
plugin for firefox; it doesn't seem to happen since I've taken it off
(so far). My wild-eyed guess is that it's related to threading, as
there's quite a few [gtk-gnash] processes on some flash-enabled
sites.
