CTL-ALT-ESC
panic

to get it to dump core?  Or would more be involved?  Would a core dump
even work?
Core dumps are somewhat unconvenient in this situation. Better,

The problem is that I'm dealing with a remote server here, no serial console, and no guaranteed keyboard :( I'm between a rock and a hard place on this one :(
