Ok, I lied. disabling ACPI didn't fix the problem at all. However it doesn't look like this problem manifests itself until a minute or so after boot-up (hence my confusion).

Any ideas?

This machine is a totally stock FreeBSD 6.0 box. I haven't done anything except install the OS and boot it.

Ideas?

What does "vmstat -i" report?

Guy
