Hi, I'm looking at the same issue with a Serveraid 6i in an xSeries x226. In hindsight, I should have specified an iir controller, possibly with some machine other than an IBM!
There seems to be an ioctl where a user mode program can issue a command to the controller to find out what is going on. Is there any documentation available for this? I've started to experiment, but I haven't done much yet.
