That's not so bad. A reinstall means you can newfs your partitions as UFS2 filesystems, which wouldn't be the case if you upgraded 4.10 in-place.
Are there any other advantages of UFS2 over UFS except maximum disk size?
acl -- access control lists mac -- Mandatory Access Control
haven't used them yet, though.
