Getting this error from a straight configure of libjava:

checking for exception model to use... configure: error: unable to detect
exception model

So gcj never seems to get built fully/completely or working.

If I try to run gcj I get:

bash-2.05# ./gcj -v
Reading specs from ./../lib/gcc-lib/i386-portbld-freebsd4.4/3.0.3/specs
Reading specs from libgcj.spec
gcj: libgcj.spec: No such file or directory

This file never seems to get created/made.

I'm running RELENG_4_4, with ports at current, trying to build
from the gcc30 port. gcc-devel failed as well.

It gives me an error on the build:

===>  Patching for gcc30-3.0.3
===> Applying FreeBSD patches for gcc30-3.0.3
===>  Configuring for gcc30-3.0.3
*** This configuration is not supported in the following subdirectories:
     target-libffi target-boehm-gc target-zlib target-libjava
    (Any other directories should still work fine.)

Is there a way around this?

bash-2.05# uname -smr
FreeBSD 4.4-RELEASE i386

Thanks,
