Maybe this is just me. I am running a world cvsupped Mar 31. I have a Toshiba 4010CDT with the usual Noteworthy PCcard modem. The following sequence causes a complete lockup right in the middle of the message onscreen that the kernel is setting up sio2. shutdown now [return] ctrl-d it skips disk checks, goes to start the network, and hangs while checking the sio serial port.
