Both, actually. At least, Intel has drivers for FreeBSD on their website and IIRC, it's a Tier 1 OS for them. I don't want to dis the efforts of the people working on the bXe stuff, but from what I have read, they have much less support from the vendor. We have used HP servers even back when they were still Compaq-servers (and came with Intel NICs...) and this is really the first time we had to install Intel NICs with them (with FreeBSD - there was an earlier issue with Solaris, but that does not count...). Are there Intel daughter cards for this server?
