See boot(8): There should be a -\|/ spinner for a second at the start of the boot. Hit the "Any" key and you will get a prompt that lets you specify a loader(8) replacement. Assuming you are booting off ad0s1, the magic incantation is 0:ad(0,a)/boot/loader.old -- Peter Jeremy
