OK, this really sucks. diff has lost the -P option, that I've been relying on. Compare: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=diff&manpath=FreeBSD+6.0-RELEASE http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=diff&manpath=FreeBSD+7.1-RELEASE It used to say: -P When comparing directories, if a file appears only in the second directory of the two, treat it as present but empty in the other. Now it's gone.
