What date of CURRENT are you running? I tracked down crashes related to
changes in SMBFS, but I am still experiencing almost weekly crashes such

Yes, running lots of rsync.
Also, yes, crashes have happened at night, not sure about 3am
specifically, I've noticed more like 4am, 5am. But they always seem to
happen when I'm not around. Most of our rsync processes happen at night
starting from 7pm and running all night.
