Agreed, but for similar functionality, the prices I've seen recently look about
half as much.. Assuming I was student again, I'd have no choice really, and
what I was getting at is that it ought to be supported because those newer
users with less capital will be the people who distribute FreeBSD to the world
in a couple of years time...
(I certainly wouldn't buy one at the moment!)

Found the advert I was reading for it again, it does offer unrivalled
functionality at a low price. At least to the newbie hardware purchaser it
probably looks like a great option.. even if it's going to up the TCO.

I must say that the Riva TNT2 Ultra (Maxi Gamer Xentor32) I've got, does make
the odd Windows game a little more interesting, and it's fun to have xlock
-mode morph3d be a fairly ridiculous blur at 1600x1200 at 32bit =)
[It's also quite handy for watching mpeg's or for playing games under windows,
but then I digress..]
