OK, since /etc/ttys has changed, it would seem to me appropriate to change
MAKEDEV as well. So how about changing the sources for FreeBSD-STABLE so that
the line in MAKEDEV that looks like
sh MAKEDEV vty4 # cdev, virtual tty
becomes
sh MAKEDEV vty9 # cdev, virtual tty
