Now I have a live server running 5.2.1-R and I need SNMP to monitor it with and it is not in the ports tree in the sense that there are some directories called net-snmp* but they all contain only one file, README.html.
How do I install it now? (Yes I did update the ports tree)
Did you update all the ports-tree? net-snmp has been moved from net/net-snmp to net-mgmt/net-snmp (version 5) if you want version 4, it's in net-mgmt/net-snmp4
