Is there a facility for determining the version of a kernel that has been built but not installed? I am working on a script to pre-build new versions of FreeBSD by checking newvers.conf against uname, but i would also like to be able to verify that the version in /usr/obj is not the same as in newvers.conf. Otherwise, my script would just continue to rebuild everything needlessly.
