You could do:

/etc/rc.d/named stop
logrotate
/etc/rc.d/named start

( "rndc restart" is not implemented yet :-)

I get troubles with the "pid-file" in named.conf.
Named doesn't seem to read it, so I used the default pid:
"/var/run/named.pid" and not "/var/run/named/pid" mentioned in the script.
