Have you put:

    saslauthd_enable="YES"

into /etc/rc.conf?  You need to do that (or the equivalent) for any
port that uses rc.subr (a.k.a rcNG) for it's startup script or else
that service won't be started.

Otherwise, everything you show looks good to me.
