I need help on fresh install freebsd 5.21 on cyrix 686 -300MHZ - maxtor-30G hard drive. Problem: systinstall setup - disk pattrition option chose F"DD" and confirm it. The installation seem to completed but after reboot it cannot sync the disk somehow error wirh mounting /usr directory. I cannot install OPENBSD or window either.Window xp installation complete but when reboot it give hardware error. It happens the same with OPenbsd and Linux. I had Lowlevel format the drive but the problems still exist. how do i remove the DD from the drive.
