Hmmm... I didn't know there was a maximum swap size on FreeBSD 4.10 of 1677216 blocks... Is there an easy way to reduce this partition without redoing the entire install?
Yes. Delete just the swap partition in place, then recreate it using a smaller size (using /stand/sysinstall or another tool of your choice). The rest of your existing partitions and the data in them should be fine...
