What about 5's background fsck? Is that set up so it's able to run after the securelevel has been raised? Background fsck seems to wait a minute or so for the machine to boot before it starts.
that was sorta my question too. I do see it run LATER after boot (60s) and when already in securelevel 3.
I dont know if the background process has more rights or not, but if I do it manually I see:
(NO WRITE)
on the command.
