On my system I have several Linux distros installed in the extended partition, and FBSD 5.2 shows slices as high as /dev/ad0s9. I am able to mount all of these with mount_ext2fs. Whether or not it is possible to mount msdos extended partitions, I can't say, since I don't have any installed on my hard drive.
